Click ID and Attribution

FourLook generates an internal click identifier for accepted clicks so later conversion events can be matched to the original visit.

FourLook click ID

  • Accepted clicks receive an internal click identifier used for reporting, conversion matching, and postback correlation.
  • In Google transparent modes, FourLook may append fl_click_id to the destination URL.

Platform click identifiers

  • Google identifiers such as gclid, gbraid, and wbraid may be logged when present in the request.
  • Other traffic-source tokens may also be stored according to campaign and traffic-source configuration.

Attribution outcome

  • Attribution depends on correctly capturing the original click and later receiving a conversion or postback that references the related click identifier or configured macros.
