Redirects

A redirect is the step that sends the visitor from the FourLook tracker to the next destination URL after the click is processed.

Redirect process

  • 1. A visitor clicks a tracking URL.
  • 2. FourLook receives the request on a tracking domain or first-party bridge path.
  • 3. FourLook validates required parameters for the selected tracking mode.
  • 4. FourLook records click and attribution data when the request is accepted.
  • 5. FourLook redirects the visitor to the destination URL for that mode.

Standard campaign redirects

  • Standard campaign redirects may send traffic to a landing page, offer, rule-based destination, device-target destination, or fallback destination based on campaign settings.

Strict Google transparent redirects

  • In /gads-click and GGADS strict transparent modes, FourLook redirects only to the declared redirection_url.
  • FourLook may append its own click correlation parameter fl_click_id.
  • These modes do not apply Split, rotation, cloaking destination changes, device/geo redirects, or fallback destinations.

Example

  • Immediate next hop: https://advertiser.com/landing
